Unfortunately, summer is over yet again, although this year was a particularly good one, well for us at That Hungry Chef anyway. Having stepped out of restaurant kitchens for the time being to focus on a new and exciting project, I’ve brought my restaurant home with me with the launch of That Hungry Chef supperclub in October.
The focus, apart from great and seasonal produce will be on inspirations and ideas that I took from my year of travelling around the world, adding a few twists and spices here and there, that have garnered praise from Fay Maschler & Guy Diamond. In addition to the food, there is also a huge garden to explore before or after the meal (smokers take note!)
The menu will be changing monthly and to kick start matters, here is Octobers overture….
South Indian rice pancake, coconut chutney, sambar
Spiced venison, pickled beetroot, pumpkin puree, trompettes & fenugreek mash
Veg option: Lentil, courgette & pepper kitchari, okra, pickled red onion
Home grown pear financier, honey & stem ginger srikhand, Coorg black pepper
Also included is a glass of wine and a jar of That Hungry Chef’s new chilli relish, Mojo Risin’
All this for £40 per head and you can BYOB.
