Having graduated with a BA in English Literature, I decided to follow my true passion and train to be a chef. I worked my way through the kitchens of Gordon Ramsay Claridge’s, Chez Bruce, Cinnamon Club, The Orrery, Galvin Bistrot and The Peasant before taking a year off to travel and eat my way around the world. Soon after Nikhat & I got married we both decided to do something together and hit on the idea of starting a personalised/bespoke catering service whilst on honeymoon in Mozambique. That Hungry Chef soon fell into place.
A child psychologist by profession, Nikhat has taken time off from her practice to help me launch the brand and run the front of house for all our catering and supper club functions. Although she abhors administrative work, her inputs as creative director are second to none and makes sure that anyone who comes to our events leaves with memories more than that of just food. When she’s not wearing an apron or charming dinner guests, Nikhat can be found in her wellies tending to her garden or curled up on the sofa with a book.
