A private dinner party that takes you down the Rabbit hole and into Wonderland
“But I don’t want to go among mad people,” Alice remarked.
“Oh, you can’t help that,” said the Cat: “we’re all mad here. I’m mad. You’re mad.”
“How do you know I’m mad?” said Alice.
“You must be,” said the Cat, “or you wouldn’t have come here.”
― Lewis Carroll,
There’s no shortage of Alice in Wonderland themed events with the majority taken up by Mad Hatter’s tea parties. The best known of all Alice in Wonderland dinners were the ones by Britain’s very own Willy Wonka, Heston Blumenthal who wowed us with his dissolving March Hare’s clock, edible queen of heart’s playing cards and an endless array of magic coupled with intense flavour. The challenge here was to create something different yet stay true to the theme.
A client asked us to incorporate Lewis Carroll’s masterpiece into a dinner for her birthday, with the food being given the usual Hungry Chef twist. It was such a success that we ended up offering it for our supper clubs and ran it for 6 months straight due to exceedingly popular demand.
We’re now offering this menu for private events for a maximum of 16 guests, so please get in touch if you’d like to transform your dining room into Wonderland for your next dinner party!
